The right to a safe and good psychosocial kindergarten environment

To ensure that kindergarten children have a safe, good time at kindergarten, a new chapter of the Kindergarten Act, addressing the psychosocial kindergarten environment, was introduced in 2021 A survey shows that in 9 out of 10 kindergartens, directors and/or pedagogical leaders have been involved with the kindergarten's work concerning the children's right to a safe and good psychosocial kindergarten environment (Naper et al. 2021). Kindergartens have largely used planning days, joint meetings and written information to familiarise staff with the contents of the new law.
